Late autumn rains have some use after all... they encourage imagination indoors!
LOST EVENINGS
Yes, I could have been a judge but I never had the Latin, never had the Latin for the judging. I just never had sufficient of it to get through the rigorous judging exams. They're noted for their rigour. People came staggering out saying 'My God what a rigorous exam' - and so I became a miner instead. A coal miner. I managed to get through the mining exams - they're not very rigorous. They only ask you one question. They say 'Who are you?', and I got 75% for that.

I like these l'il bottles too!
Marie, great too!!!
Have a fantastic weekend.
Love Stefan
excellent. Did you check out the Rachel/Pete video from Troubador on my blog?
Maria, I have so missed coming here, seeing your photography and reading your posts. I see from this latest collection that you are just going from strength to strength. The Vastavalo project seems a great impetus to some really good interpretive work. Your photo in the last post - the solo sphere - is especially luscious. It's such a wonderful shape, and the light and shade give it a mysterious, quietly sinister voluptuousness. Just love it!
The bottles made me smile - it's a beautiful photograh, but I also just love the shapes. Glass can appear so fluid, almost as though it remembers its form before it cooled.
Thsnks again for the info on the Who concerts you left for me - really appreciate it!
You know what I like even more than the little bottles themselves? The shadows they make..so much detail in them!
Oh LOL...my word verfication is strippr!
Well, the closest you get to that Maria is stripping everything to the bare singular necessities in your photos ;)
Oh Val, you naughty woman, suggesting doing naughty things like that with photos! Stripping! Well I never!
;-)
Hi Margie,
Thanks so much for the friendly words!
I agree with both you and Val: glass is such a wonderful thing, especially when "reacting" with light. I'm also forever fascinated with shadows and the richness and detail they give to objects.
Hi Stefan,
Thank you! Hope you and the kids had a great weekend!
Hi Grace,
I'll go check the video as soon as I have time!
